POTS will be live streaming Helping the Bronx Bounce Back on Thursday October 22nd at 7pm EST. Learn about the resilience of the people of the Bronx during an unprecedented crisis as we share our client community’s stories and showcase the tireless work of POTS – from its origins as a soup kitchen in 1982, to meeting the challenges of the current crisis.
POTS is the Bronx’s multi-service anti-poverty agency that’s making a critical difference in the lives of over 40,000 low-income individuals and families. POTS stayed open throughout the worst of the pandemic to help its community. We’ve already served close to 1,000,000 meals — more than double the number served in the same period a year ago. Our case management team has already helped clients secure 768 new benefits in 2020 worth over $4,097,000.
POTS is committed to meeting the increased needs of our community as its members struggle to provide for their children and loved ones.
Your support will help POTS provide families with emergency food programs, basic needs like showers, mail service, medical and dental care; and case management, legal services and employment assistance.
Please consider making a donation now to support our neighbors. We look forward to having you with us for our virtual celebration on October 22nd!
