Dear Friends,
Part of the Solution (POTS) is doing everything possible to ensure that our community continues to receive life-sustaining benefits and services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit this post frequently as we will be updating it often to make sure you have the latest information on POTS’ programs and services as we respond to the rapidly-evolving crisis.
Here is a program-by-program summary:
Emergency Food Programs
Community Dining Room: 12:30PM-3:00PM – Monday-Friday
POTS will continue to provide our guests with lunch. All lunch will now be provided for take-out only. For safety reasons, guests are not permitted to eat lunch in the building. Also based on guidance from the CDC guests who are waiting will need to maintain a recommended 6 feet social distance while getting their meals.
Food Pantry: 9AM-11:30AM – Monday-Friday
POTS’ pantry will continue to provide guests with take-home groceries, however, we have temporarily suspended the super-market style model. These groceries are currently being distributed via pre-packaged bags of food..
Day-to-Day Programs
Mail Room: 1PM-3:00PM – Monday-Friday
Clients may still receive their mail at POTS. To obtain your mail please call 718-220-4892×101 and leave a voicemail with your name and planned time of pick up. When you arrive at POTS please check-in at the door. Please be patient as clients are currently being served one at a time.
Please note: Showers, Haircuts and Clothing Room are closed until further notice.
Medical and Dental Clinic: The Medical and Dental Clinic at POTS is operated by Care for the Homeless. For more information, contact 347-269-4706.
Next-Step Services (NSS)*The majority of these services are currently being provided remotely.
Workforce Development:
Clients seeking assistance may contact jescobar@potsbronx.org or call 718-220-4892×125 with any questions to schedule an appointment. Appointments will be held over the phone. No meetings are being held on-site at this time.
Case Management:
Clients seeking assistance may contact 718-220-4892×113 to schedule a phone meeting. No meetings are being held on-site at this time.
Comprehensive Case Management: Clients seeking assistance may contact hesteban@potsbronx.org or call 718-220-4892X115 directly to schedule a meeting via phone. No meetings are being held on-site at this time.
Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC): IJC is unable to accept new clients at this time. Please check back for further updates.
Legal Clinic: Clients seeking assistance may contact the clinic directly to schedule a phone meeting at 718-220-4892×111 or 117. No meetings are being held on-site at this time.

Narcotics Anonymous: Meetings are suspended until further notice.
Tax preparation: Sessions at POTS have been suspended. Ariva, our tax prep provider, has canceled tax preparation at all of its sites. They can be reached at 718-292-2983 with any questions. Note, the US government is providing a 90-day extension on filing and paying taxes.
