As of June 29th, POTS has officially expanded its operation to a second location in 2450 Grand Concourse. With a soft launch in late April, the new location now houses POTS’ Legal Clinic, as well as the development, finance, and communications departments.
During the official ribbon-cutting ceremony POTS’ Executive Director, Christina Hanson, hosted a session with the participation from the Chair of POTS’ Board of Directors, Keith Pagnani, the Chief Program Officer of The HOPE Program, Ana Chapman, and Assembly member George Alvarez, representing District 78 in The Bronx.
Many members of the community attended the celebration of this new journey for the organization and the clients they serve, including neighbors who have worked with POTS for years, peer nonprofits organizations, volunteers, staff and board members of the organization. In the words of Keith Pagnani:
“In 2022, POTS was able to connect more than 37,000 members of our community with $36 million in economic value and this expansion is an opportunity to renew our commitment to bring our services to the next level to help our community achieve stability and self-sufficiency”.
The organization’s workforce mentoring program will use the new classroom space available in this second location to offer clients greater access to education and training opportunities, job fairs, and other resources to improve job readiness. To that effect, Part of the Solution (POTS) and The HOPE Program are coming together to empower Bronx residents to build sustainable careers.
With access to a new space and greater resources, POTS is enthusiastic about the future and intends to continue to fulfill its mission even more deeply than ever before. For more information about POTS, visit postbronx.org.
